This mental health workshop invites program participants engaged a 6 -week program to explore barriers such as racism, sexism and other systemic inequities that they experience along their journey as Black female entrepreneurs and to identify healthy ways of coping with stress, overwhelm, anxiety, burnout, and other psychosocial issues.
Self-Care Workshop for Each Cohort
This engaging workshop welcomes program participants engaged in an 8- week program in Phase 2 of the My Start Up Program to share their current struggles as female entrepreneurs and to build on their existing internal and external resources to create a self-care plan to improve their well-being as individuals and as a collective.
This workshop provides RNs, RPNs and PSWs to share the current challenges within the field of nursing and personal support work and to develop additional coping mechanisms and stress management strategies to equip them to care for themselves as they care for our aging and elderly populations while simultaneously continue navigate the pandemic’s impact on their profession.
Our workshop will give you an opportunity to re-tool your parent backpack and equip you for the school year journey! Your children will have a chance to create their own unique back pack designs and to connect with parents in a deeper way through art.

This includes all parents with Black children within Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, Orangeville, Shelburne, Mono, Amaranth, Mulmur, Melancthon, Grand Valley, and East Garafraxa.
Parents of Black Children, alongside The Brampton Literacy Centre and the Dufferin County Black Parent Advisory Council, is UNITING to share your experiences of anti-Black racism and help us create Dufferin/Peel Region’s first united Black Parent Council.
Together we will make a difference.
